Hello again, its NOVEMBER now .. :)

 Although i didn't celebrate Thanksgiving personally and nation wide-ly , but i'm longing to make clip arts with this particular theme.

 It's about Autumn also, right (?!) my favorite  season, even, again this season not available in Indonesia , lol.

Aside with my Thanksgiving theme clip art, also have Fairy tale theme, Cinderella clip art.

Cinderella clip art, finished last week after i posted my previous - ONCE UPON A TIME - post and i've decide "she" will join force with Thanksgiving clip art :), ya know, so my post won't look that short , B-)

Last month i spent build my twitter account, i'm really happy of the result. For this month i hope i can improve my blog, i'm thinking to giving a freebie, like, once a month (?!), and because my slow brain at stuff like this, I'm still trying to figure how, I'm gonna do that.

Wednesday, 5th October 2016, I post my Ink Letter from A to J. And also some of you might found this post is off schedule, well, true, i feel bad for skipped  a week last time, so this is for the replacement :).

So! I've  finished the complete set of the Alphabet. :) Making all this letter really soothe my stress, and make me so happy because i accomplish something NEW

Like we all know October not yet over , so even i finished this project, I'll continue making another project using ink as the medium, now i am thinking hard for the next #inktober , i hope tomorrow I'll get the answer. Lol.

But for now, please enjoy this Alphabet set , while I'm working on another of my clip arts .

Daily Journal : Play With Ink

Its October already.. lately i feel like i lost track of time, was that aging factor.. Nope.. 100% NOT!

Last year i stumbled upon InkTober, but its already late for join the parade, so this year another October has come, the spirit to join apparently wasn't here, lol, maybe because everyday since my daily Journal i been using pen (ink) .

But anyhow it still inspired me to use ink, so after my last 30 day journal, now i'm working on Alphabet , each letter represent Flower name from similar letter. A for Amaryllis, B for Buttercup , C for Columbine , D for Dahlia , E for Echium , F for Forsythia  and etc. How i finished them .... INK of course :)

Another pile of letter is coming, but for now, please enjoy my first 10 of second part of my daily journal .... i hope this make any sense :)

This is my first attempt to draw fully using ink and brush, in the past i still using pen for the outline, i am PROUD, so happy with the outcome. The idea was to make a full letter set of it.

I'm also learn to Mock-ing them Up , i love it!

And this one (below) how i mock them verticall , to bad J letter cannot join in.

Society6 CoolCubCabin : CrueltyFree Is A New Black

Hello, Happy Sunday.

After a while not posting a new project on my Society6, now I'm bring my new design named "Cruelty Free is A New Black"

Isn't it cool if our fashion or anything we use in daily life  not doing any damage to other being and nature.

Speaking of Cruelty Free, i am now on CrueltyFree on training :)) , meaning i'm train my self to use no-Cruel product. I did decided that I will go Cruelty Free , and i did do that, but because i am new to this subject matter , i'm still learn and research what is and what not cruel product.

By this far, i''m already change my Shampoo and Soap and Skin care to  Cruelty Free products .
I'm so happy i can get this stuff  in Indonesia, it's limited YES, but  it's not Impossible, matter a fact the product that i use now is local (Indonesia) product that got an international acknowledge.

There is also big retail brand that was very known in the world and campaign a "cruelty free" also, but it is own by big company that does the cruel act on their other brand product, so i was like happy then not happy.  Aside that this brand doesn't open their branch on country that do mandatory test on animal , i still cannot shake it off that the particular non cruel brand just for target another market. Capitalism is great isn't.

So again i'm still learning and while i'm searching i stumbled upon this site that write everything about cruelty-free product, so COOL, if you also interest on this Cruelty-free subject and want to be one :), do check the website for more info about it :)

Daily Journal : Day 21 until Day 27

First of all, let me explain why these pass weeks, i only post about my daily journal. I do working on my clip art also, but the main reason is,because i am so "busy" learn how to  upgrade my blog, so I've been busy adding banner or  my other social media like Twitter, Skillshare and Bookdepository (well this one is web ) link, but again  i really interested to add whatever i can add, so my visitor can see my activity and stay longer in my blog.

Hopefully i also learn how to write better . But for now, let me present my Daily Journal... my today's journal is on the way... ( i am now part write blog part sketching , lol) I'll add that / this (today's journal)  another time with another batch:).

I love read, this was entertaining, hobby and my source of information. i read Manga from i was young, started collecting it when i have enough money to buy it, one of my ideal life was to be a manga artist, lol!

Novel, i love historical novel, gave me many information and vivid insight about living in those era, some were looks very pleasant, some are not so much.

Children's book, i love illustration, children's book offer me many good arts and imagination, i hope i can make one of my own soon :)

Music! 2 weeks ago, i was sitting on my room in front of my computer, on felt so bored and then i change my music on my itunes, and i am ready to do anything i need to do.

Yes, MUSIC, just try it, if u ever feel bored (if you never try this of course :)) change your music, i try , i changed from pop music, to  lounge music and it WAS SHOOTING my BOREDOM :)

Daily Journal ,Etsy & Creative Market: Day 3. Today's Day & Shop Updates

In this journal, i draw about my today's day. Of course not of it, it would not fitted :), actually this journal is pretty much how i spend my day :))

Yesterday i actually think to make Donuts today, but as i rise after a series of repeated SNOOZE , i found a plate full of  kue TERIPANG (Sea Cucumber Cake ) .. no no no, not really a Sea cucumber , it was a traditional snack of Indonesia, made from fried Glutinous Rise Cake, then coated with melted Palm Sugar Caramel(yummy) then shaped into Sea Cucumber shape :)

So this is my Daily Journal , Today's Day

As seen, i am using  a brown color today, this is just for experimenting, i actually like it. And also , for today i started with pencil  before ink and color this journal. And it took a lot of  "repairing" my OCD take control , with a straight pen to paper, no change to fix it :))

Daily Journal : Day 2, Facts About Me

From the 31 Challenge List that i choose, Day 2 is 20 facts about me, but 20 would not fit my paper, so, i just draw whatever fit in there :

As i draw it, i noted my weakness, the area i want to improve , like font and add more body position , not just head or waist to head appearance :)

So with that in my head, i'll pay more attention for it now on , today journal also spontaneous and pen straight to paper.

Daily Journal : Day 1, All About Me

For many times i been eager to do something to improve my skill, especially my drawing skill (it seems more n more worse)

I've been looking and watching envious to many talented artist that made such wonderful works, cannot blame them, they have their practice done :)

So this time, i will practice too, my media and path is DAILY JOURNAL (wish me luck)...
The idea was as it name DAILY JOURNAL,  i will post my drawing /doodle journal every day, i still will work hard for another post.

Just for sneak peek behind the thought :), i thought about this Daily Journal like many times and long times ago, but i dunno what to draw or what to write... and as a VIRGO... i think too much that lead to nothing at all , huks.

Then, yesterday i watched Youtube of this very talented artist name Fran Meneses , she said in order to develop her skill and her style, she began practice with making a daily journal...That make me think " ow this great, i always want to do this daily journal with drawing , because i'm not gonna lying ... i am not good on writing a journal ^^

But still i dunno what to draw.. where to start... then here's where Pinterest coming handy , just like sign from above i found "31days challenge" and many of them.. so i picked one of the most relate-able for me.. ya know as a beginner :)

As seen, a bit messy .. okay its messy :)) , i just draw it and i didn't edited it... but i learned my lesson, so let see if tomorrow would be better :))

Creative Market : I OPENED ONE

Hello hello hello,
this week despite been busy doing what i always do, and i am talking about making Clip Arts, learning to sharpen and built a skill, new language, i was also watch YouTube for U.S Presidential Campaign one word LOL

What i love about these campaign is, how the American Citizen and residence , specifically Tv Program Host  can joke and make fun out of it. If it was Indonesia Presidential Campaign , they will get sued for black campaign , even though what they doing is just provide fact with sarcasm.

Anyway back to my activity of the week.After 3 times trying... i at last got approve to open a shop in CREATIVE MARKET. So happy. The power of never gave up :))
So have been busy altered / edited the display picture.
My  Creative Market goods,all same with my Etsy so just adifferent platform, so it can reach a different area :))

Skill : Watercolor

For years i always want to do Watercolor, i did tried once a while, but after many people commenting on it some even said it "UGLY" its really a broken my heart and shatter my confidence ... huks...

But now, i think i am ready :)), and i am so PROUD of the outcome , well it might not appear like that for some or many people, but for me... i DONE a GREAT job :)

I found class that help me to train it and i am very-very happy with the result.

One thing that i notice in watercolor, PATIENT.... (actually in many things we need it :))

Anyway, this is my recent watercolor that i made for online class, it really help me relax, love it!

Aside from a pile of work i had and should do for my main job .. A.K.A my family store i made 2 project to post on my Society6 shop.

This project looks so much different from my others project , these idea came up when i was sitting and try to "SUMMON" idea for my shop, after awhile and no struck of idea, i start to play with the software, and VIOLA..... i made these two :) .. no joke, no sketch, nothing, just pure software and boredom hahaha

I love and proud how i can make this kind of Art... This was a HIGHLIGHT of my week^^

My Very First Mandala

Hello, so for this week, 'm gonna practice my self a new skill.. or maybe sharpen whatever skill that i've got :))
I've been eager to make my own mandala, looking at many pretty and awesome mandala make me want to make my own too, but i don't know how.. i mean like, where sould i start... out to in, or in out? Anyway i stumble on this class, and my i've done it!
I am so happy.
Then , i found another class...I nailed it! :)) I mean , now i am addicted to make even more mandala:)

I know it seems i only focus on my clip art more than other "work", and it is true.. i got held up for working on these clip art for more than one time, so now i got many idea on the hand.
Thing like idea do not stop even we procrastinate , although it sometimes forgotten, and i dont want that, so while the idea still overflowing, i kept record and try my best to work it all.

Now is the time when my clip art idea overflow so its my time to work on them.
Other time when other work idea overflow, then it will be their time too :)

Wow, a week pass so fast.
Cat.... like i said before, i love cat and i have many of them...
I like to photograph them too.
Also i love postcard, so i made my own postcard CAT, i also add a quote about them from famous or non-famous profile.
I'm very happy about the  quote, for me it emphasize my love to those cutie pie(s) :)
I love dog too, but somehow i never have a dog.. i wonder why :))

I'm using this design when I'm send  for my postcrossing, when i also got an address of people that love a Cat too.. for now i just print them using a photo paper and then glue the postcard paper behind them, so i can write on it.  I  do have plan to print this, but i still looking for proper paper, and my town doesn't have what i want :)).

Skill : Best Of Two World

As a designer.. graphic designer or people that work in art field, Adobe Photoshop , Illustrator, In Design, Macromedia Freehand, Flash, Corel Draw and etc is a common tool that we use.. probably every day. I do.
At least for Illustrator and Photoshop....

Was a time i only use Freehand , because Illustrator was very .. yes VERY difficult for me...i remember the first file name i gave to my Illustrator file .."OMG-Illustrator is HARD" lol

Any way, i just learn to use Illustrator maybe around a year ago, when i start my ETSY...And i still try to figure out how to make good graphic, design and art out of it.

I found this class that teach how to combine Illustrator and Photoshop. Of course we can do texture in Illustrator but it would be heavy ... So combining it in Photoshop is a great alternative, consider people sell and buy image using JPEG , not to mention we can play with color gradation to enrich the texture.... which is again would be very heavy in Illustrator.

For the class i'm using a Beijing Opera theme/topic, the raw material was mine ( i took the shoot when i was watching it in China )

 For this adding texture thingy ... my difficulty is to find  a proper texture to the art... i might make my own texture soon :))

Comic Strip :Language Barrier

This one happened to me when i was travel with my friend in China , both of us take a language course in Shanghai.

We can recognize the character , but like all language are.... sometimes... the means of words combine not even close with the word in it at all :))
And picture base writing like this use symbolic meaning in it.. so yeah... Language Barrier was happened to us at that time... and maybe it still do. (^-^)!

Maybe it means White Light :))

Skill : Icons and Badges

Several years ago... yeap.. several...2013 to be exact, i took online class to learn how to create series badges or icons.
Step by step, from brainstorming to sketch.. I DID.. but then it was pending.. because i went travel and many other things... mostly because i forgot :))
Deep inside i still remember and then last week i found the sketch and checked the class again, and MY oh MY , 3 years have passed but i haven't pass this class yet :))

The class was about create icons or badges and after brainstorming, i end up with many ideas of it, but then with a comment from someone who saw my project, i choose GREEK GODS and GODDESS.

I choose 3 of each Gods and Goddess.

Gods ... Zeus , Hades and Poseidon
Goddess... Athena, Aphrodite and Artemis

Of each badge or icon, would contain the special symbols of the God or Goddess it represents.
ZEUS i choose of course, BOLT and EAGLE

Poseidon i use Trident and Kraken.. but i change it to Octopus :))... for Cute effect on the badge ... lol...

Hades..( for some reason i like Hades how bout you ^^)  i want to use Cerberus and Silver Coins, but when i recheck my fact again ... i can't find the source that mention Hades symbol was coins (maybe i misread it...hmmm..) so i replaced it with Cypress Tree.. i choose it also for lay out purpose .. i can use Invisible Helmet but.. i'll end up confuse to lay out it inside the badge..
So Cerberus and Cypress Tree for Hades.

Athena, Owl and Olives

Aphrodite, Rose, Clam Shell ( remember the Birth Of Venus ) also because i dont want to use another bird in this series, Aphrodite bird symbol was Dove, but it also symbol for Artemis.. so Clam Shell it is.

Artemis, Deer and Arrow n Bow. Actually i want to use only Arrow or only Bow, but of each source i read, it all says Arrow AND Bow. ^^


I finish this project yesterday, and below is the final product. Enjoy ^^

It hurt, but it wasn't unbearable pain, it was happen because my molars want to came out. After awhile, all is well ^^

Skill : Skillshare, Poly Art

My major was Graphic Designer, i love art, although my art skill level still basic.

I try to learn how to use watercolor, because gosh... my friend really great at it.. i ENVY her, while me....i still try to do it properly :))

The thing about me was, i  limit my self for certain style that i like and stuck thinking about it how to work it out, the way i wanted it, till it stressed me out.
And like any others, or mostly or perhaps it just me... when i'm stress nothing works out.

But lately i really feel like to try something new, something that can upgrade my skill to new level or maybe to new skill.
I search and found many tutorial to help me, one of many "help" that i found recent was how to do a Low Poly Art ( i do many before this, but let me write about this for today ^^)

Lets short this up, this tutorial explain how to make Low Poly Art using Photoshop... because the tutor prefer Photoshop, but it also can be done with  Illustrator.

Anyway, i use an image that i found in the Internet or Pinterest, i forgot, bottom line it is not my image.
