These are some of my earliest pattern.

Today, I wanted to share something a bit special—two of the very first patterns I ever created: Topsy Turvy and Mosaic These designs have recently found a new home on my Redbubble shop, after being moved from Society6 due to some changes on that platform.
These two are extra dear to me because they mark the beginning of my journey into surface pattern design. I still remember how excited (and slightly overwhelmed!) I was while learning the ropes of pattern-making. Seamless repeats? Layer management? Color balance? I was figuring it all out as I went along.
Truth be told, Mosaic and Topsy Turvy aren’t technically perfect—back then, I didn’t fully understand seamless pattern construction. But what they might lack in polish, they more than make up for in charm (at least, I think so!). I still love the playful feel of the lines, and I’m really happy with the colors I chose. There’s something raw and joyful about them that reminds me of why I started creating in the first place.
So while these designs might not be my most polished, they’re definitely among my most meaningful. I hope you’ll enjoy them too—and maybe even see a bit of your own creative beginnings reflected in them.
You can now find Mosaic and Topsy Turvy on various products in my Redbubble store.
